Situated in the lovely village of Sandhead (Scotland’s little secret)over looking Luce Bay. The village has a sandy beach that stretches 6 miles in one direction and a more rocky walk in the other direction.The beach is dog friendly with no restrictions all year long. There is a football pitch in front of the home and a children’s park within 100M.
There is a well equipped shop and post office, a pub/restaurant(best in the area) a tea room and a church all within easy walking distance of the home. A short drive away are the villages of Portpatrick, Port Logan, Ardwell and the Town of Stranraer. The Mull of Galloway Scotland’s lowest point with a lighthouse and restaurant, the Galloway Forrest park and the ferry for a day trip to Ireland are all in easy reach.
Spectacular views is your first impression when arriving at this holiday cottage with only the sea in front of you and the Galloway hills in the distance. This is a holiday to relax in a fully equipped home from home. You will find new bedding and the house has just been cleaned throughout upon your arrival. With 3 bedrooms a king size with a view of Luce bay same as the living room downstairs. A twin room which looks over the rear garden. A downstairs double bedroom which is great for anyone including people who struggle with stairs. The very clean bathroom is also on the ground floor next to the ground floor bedroom. The living/dining room has a flat screen TV and also a DVD player, there are countless DVDs to choose from left by the owners for your enjoyment.
You can fish for Bass and mullet off the beach in front. There are many great fishing spots in the area including sea, course and fly and the local tackle shops nearby are only too willing to advise you. Golfers are spoil’t for choice with the many great links courses in the surrounding area none seem to be over subscribed so day tickets are readily available.
