Ballindalloch Castle has been the home of the Macpherson-Grants for 24 generations, and visitors will find themselves immersed in history and interesting architecture.
The castle was built in the mid 16th century and enlarged through the years by successive generations. The castle is surrounded by wonderful gardens that bloom all types of plants throughout the year, from beautiful rhododendrons to wonderful smelling herbaceous borders and roses. Also available are lovely river and woodland walks to be enjoyed by all the family, where you can see many types of wildlife including roe deer, ducks, pheasants and birds of prey.
The estate is also used for traditional farming where you can find the oldest herd of Aberdeen Angus in Scotland. it you want to spend more time around the estate there is accommodation available, and for the Golf lovers a championship standard golf course is available.
