Hiring a cottage here would give you the chance to explore the scenic and beautiful north east of Scotland. You can spend your days wandering through the woodlands and along the shores and relax at night in front of a roaring log fire. Turriff is only 45 minutes from the granite city of Aberdeen which is well worth a visit for shopping, restaurants and night life. There are also opportunities to go angling in the North Sea on the Moray Coast or watch the playful dolphins there.

Golfers are spoiled for choice with courses at Duff House, Cruden Bay, Royal Aberdeen, Turriff and Tairlair. Don’t miss seeing the coastal villages, ancient castles and the legendary glens – Glenfiddoch, Glendronnach and Glenlivet where the purest of water is found and used for distilling the famous whisky.
Kate, the owner of the cottages, will be glad to welcome you and tell you all about the annual Turriff Show which takes place on 31 July and 1 August every year. This year they have 700 horse entries including native Highland and Shetland ponies. There will also be Aberdeen Angus and other breeds of cattle, sheep, poultry, rabbits, pigeons and goats. There is lots more to do in Turriff too with lots of shops, a sports centre, a swimming pool and the golf course. Children are welcome and Kate is always happy to provide whatever is needed for them and she is pet friendly but arrangements to bring any pets have to be made prior to a stay.
